Lighting-control design for professionals — CP Electronics’’ online specification creator

CP Electronics, which specialises in the control of lighting systems, has launched an on-line specification creator and an new compact infra-red handset for configuring systems.

CP Apps is available as a free download (link below) to anyone involved in professional lighting design and specification. The app offers a comprehensive selection of building types — ranging from offices, warehouses and hotels to education, leisure and health facilities, as well as circulation areas and scene-setting applications.

Within each product type, a number of typical lighting-control specifications are described so that users can select the best for the area they are working on. They can then view the V21 specification and detailed schematics drawings online before downloading them for their own tender submittals. V21 specifications are available in Microsoft Word format, and drawings can be downloaded as PDF or DWG files.

Wireless programming of CP Electronics lighting-control devices can be accomplished using this compact handset.

The other introduction is the UNLCDHS compact infra-red handset designed for simple operation, configuration and programming of CP products that have been designed for programming via IR and/or RF. It is compatible with the following CP products: PRM; DD; AD; Vitesse Plus and offers 2-way communication with the An-10 range.

This handset has a USB connection that can be used for saving device settings and updating the handset’s software. It provides a direct programming connection for specific product ranges.

Macros built into the system can be used to create and save settings that can be recalled to program devices. A read-back function enables the user to easily read the settings from a device. Programming is achieved by selecting the parameter to be programmed from the appropriate menu and then transmitting the setting to a device by pressing the send button
