Elta Fans introduces duct-mounted centrifugal fan

Elta Fans, centrifugal fan, duct

Elta Fans has added to its Select range with the Viper SCC duct-mounted centrifugal fan that can produce high pressure even with low air volumes. The fan is well suited for installation in sports and leisure facilities, schools, colleges, retail centres, factories and similar duct-mounted installations. These fans have been designed with the requirements of the ErP Directive, which came into force on 1 January 2013, in mind.

The Viper SCC range comprises eight standard sizes from 250 to 630 mm. The efficient, lightweight external-rotor motors from Ziehl-Abegg are available in EC or AC versions. AC motors deliver up to 1.16 m3/s with a static pressure of up to 520 Pa. EC motors deliver up to 1.73 m3/s with static pressure of up to 850 Pa.

Motors have sealed-for-life bearings and drive the fan directly. They are insulated to class F and weatherproofed.

Impellers are dynamically balanced to grade 6.3 and suitable for use in operating temperature up to 60°C.

Units are tested to ISO 5801:2007 for airside performance and BS 848 Part 2:1985 for sound performance.

All fans have a 12-month warranty.
