Torin-Sifan opens factory for EC technology

Torin-Sifan, which produces energy-efficient fan technology for the European air-movement industry, has completed an investment of over £2 million in a new state-of-the-art production facility. Based in Swindon, the 2300 m2 facility is set to become a centre of excellent for producing energy-efficient fan and blower products with electronically commutated (EC) motors.

The building was opened by Justin Tomlinson, MP for North Swindon (second from right in picture) and the Mayor of Swindon Councillor Teresa Page. Also pictured are managing director Neil Sproston (left) and commercial director Paul Kilburn.

The company has been in Swindon for 25 years, and the new facility will enable it to increase EC production by over 20%.

Neil Sproston said, ‘This expansion of our manufacturing capabilities means we are even better able to offer our global customer base cutting-edge air-movement technology. To be able to manufacture successfully in the UK as testament to the quality of our products and to the skills base here.
