CentraLine by Honeywell is pleased to announce the release of a new range of Atom colour touch screen displays for the Hawk integration controller and Arena work station.

Touch screen displays are the window and the entry point into a building-management system. They are literally the ‘face’ of the interface between a building and its operators and users.

CentraLine has built a solid reputation for supplying industrial-standard touchscreen displays suitable for both the demanding environment of the plant room and access by multiple users.

Atom display screens have an Intel dual-core 1.6 GHz CPU with embedded Windows 7 operating system. The display is an LED-backlit LCD with resistive touch 800 x 600 resolution screen.

CentraLine Atom touchscreen displays are effectively web browsers with two LAN ports and can be configured to look at stations on two different IP subnets.

The Atom range of panel-mounted displays are available in two sizes, 7 and 8.4 in, complete with door-mounting kit, power supply and touchscreen pen with an optional wall-mounting kit.

Information displayed on a touchscreen must be clear, easy to read and rugged enough to sustain a degree of misuse whilst aesthetically acceptable in public areas.

Responsiveness and accuracy of touch input, combined with reliability and durability, are pre-requisites to ensure a display screen will give a long lasting and useful service life.

Jeff Howlett, senior CentraLine engineer, comments, ‘The new Atom touchscreen displays will provide our partners with an increased capability to deliver building-management systems that offer their clients clear and reliable communication through advanced touchscreen technology.

‘We have always considered industrial high-quality touchscreens the preferred solution to provide dependable interfacing with the Coach AX Niagara based systems.

The new Atom screens offer enhanced features and flexibility that benefit the engineer, the installer and the user.’
