40 years’ experience of lighting control

Published:  05 August, 2015

German lighting-control specialist BEG has developed a remote-control app for Apple and Android smart phones to control its range of Luxomat occupancy sensors. The app makes it simple to set up and configure all sensors, so there is no need for a PC, and no central hub is required

Recent additions to the Luxomat range include the PD4 occupancy sensor that can keep buildings using two power supplies illuminated when one fails. This 2-phase sensor is ideal for hospitals and data centres as it can be connected to two different AC circuits.

Another recent launch is a 1 mm-thick occupancy sensor that can detect motion and light up to 9 m away. Used with the Luxomat PD4, it can divide up the connected lights into four groups simply and easily.

The company marks its 40th anniversary this year. Paul Jones, director for the UK and Ireland, says, ‘BEF has stood the test of time and after four decades is still providing innovative building control solution to our customers.’
