Warm-air heaters have centrifugal fans

The inclusion of direct-driven centrifugal fans enables Reznor’s UDSB warm-air heaters to distribute heat through ducting or induction nozzles or to be used as an over-door heater. The longer throw of centrifugal fans enables these heaters to be mounted at higher levels, safely out of the way of overhead cranes and other high-level machinery. They can also be installed in smaller premises such as automotive showrooms and retail outlets. These new heaters offer all the benefits of the high-efficiency UDSA model. UDSB heaters are included in the Energy Technology List, so they qualify for Enhanced Capital Allowances. Outputs range from 15 to 64 kW, and the fans have variable-speed drives. UDSB heaters are delivered with a pre-set fan speed. A simple wire change allows for variable settings for airflow, static pressure or noise levels. Related articles:
