White Young Green’s Manchester office is acting as mechanical-and-electrical representative for the client on a new £24 million medical project in Liverpool. The project involves new laboratory facilities for the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. WYG’s role is to receive and comment on contractors’ proposals at the tendering stage, with an ongoing monitoring role throughout construction to ensure that the design and construction processes are met and adhered to. The new facility will provide first-class research facilities in a building designed to meet new Building Regulations, including the new Part L which comes into effect in April 2006. Construction is expected to start this month, with completion in April 2007. |
