Mitsubishi Electric’s Mr Slim range has seen major changes. This is a Power Inverter outdoor unit.

Mitsubishi Electric has announced major improvements to its Mr Slim range of air-conditioning units.

Power Inverter models achieve energy-efficiency ratings of AA or BB on the new Energy Technology List, which is due out in August. There is also a completely new range of Standard Inverters and a new range of low-cost, 3-phase R410A fixed-speed heat pumps.

All models can support Mitsubishi Electric’s ‘Replace’ technology, which can help replace R22 systems in days instead of weeks.

Outdoor units can support pipe runs of up to 120 m and are supported by a wide range of indoor units — wall-mounted, ceiling cassette, ducted and ceiling suspended — from 3.5 to 26 kW. 10, 12.5 and 14 kW units are now also available for a 3-phase power supply.

The new models also feature automatic checking of refrigerant volume and can connect to a wide range of the company’s advanced control systems.
