Cassette offers 360° distribution of air
Published: March 2007
Daikin Europe’s ceiling-mounted Roundflow air-conditioning cassette delivers air in a 360° radial pattern. It is available in thin-body (214 mm) and high-COP variants for integration with Sky Air systems and thin-body for use with VRV systems. Features include improved and uniform airflow and temperature distribution, lower air velocities and less draughts as a result of increased horizontal airflows. Reduced temperature differentials across the conditioned space improve thermal comfort and achieve considerable energy savings. The control of Sky Air models is improved by the inclusion of an humidity sensor. These models also have a connection for Daikin’s DIII centralised-control network, which enables direct connection to its I-controller, I-manager, Lon gateway and BACnet gateway systems. Designed for all forms and sizes of commercial office, retail, restaurant and other applications, Roundflow cassettes are available in an extensive range of sizes. Closure kits enable the airflow to be modified to 2- , 3- and 4-way. Units can be mounted up to 4.5 m above the floor. For ease of installation and maintenance, the units are very light — 19 kg. The drain pan can be maintained without removing the decorative panel, and condensate draining can be viewed via the clearly visible drain socket. Related articles: |
