Thermoscreens is prime lot at Christie’s

When art auctioneer Christie’s was looking to replace the air curtain above the entrance to its showrooms in the St James’s area of London it looked to the supplier of the existing air curtain — Thermoscreens. The previous air curtain had been in place for 30 years, and the time had come to replace and upgrade. Christie’s requires an open and welcoming doorway, without it causing draughts and discomfort to its staff and clients. Without an air curtain above the doorway, opening and closing the door for the many daily visitors would waste energy and create an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment due to cold draughts. The air curtain contributes to Christie’s welcoming its visitors in its famed and traditional manner. A spokesperson for Christie’s said, ‘An air curtain for the main entrance of Christie’s is essential for the accessibility and comfort of clients and staff, enabling the main doors to remain open in any temperature. The Thermoscreens air curtain enables Christies to maintain the greatest energy efficiency, ensuring that heated or cooled air is not lost.’ Related articles:
