Vibration levels — only a click away
Published: June 2007
A new combined hardware and web-based approach to monitoring vibration data remotely has been developed by Monitran, which designs and makes vibration sensors. Called VI-sage, it can be used as part of a company’s asset-management and predictive-maintenance routines. VI-sage can also use SMS text messaging and e-mail to notify users if pre-defined vibration levels are reached. The VI-sage hardware uses technologies developed by t-mac and is available with eight input channels for sensors and four outputs or 26 input channels and 16 outputs. Users can use a web browser from any PC with Internet access to check near real-time data, view historical data and control the outputs of VI-sage. Monitran offers a free site survey for potential installations. Related articles: |
