UV treatment improves water quality in swimming pool
Published: August 2007
Recent independent tests of the quality of pool water in a leisure centre showed a dramatic improvement following the installation of a Hanovia medium-pressure UV system. The test were carried out at Lightwaves Leisure Centre in Wakefield by WRK Design & Services Ltd. The results showed a dramatic reduction in total organic carbon, THMs (trihalomethanes) and combined chlorine in the pool water. The main objectives of the trial were to analyse samples of pool water before and after the installation of an UV water-treatment system. Related articles: |
