Continuous flow of hot water for homes
Published:  October 2007
rinnai

Rinnai now offers continuous-flow water heaters for the domestic market — i.e. houses. The Infinity 16i and 16e models are said to have running costs up to 30% less than conventional stored hot-water systems and even more compared with electric showers. Both water heaters can provide hot water at near mains pressure for up to two standard shower heads at the same time.

A built-in controller on the 16i maintains water temperature within ±1 K, even if there is a sudden draw-off of water when a tap is turned on or a toilet is flushed in another part of the house.

The Infinity 16e is designed to be mounted on the outside of a building, so that a flue is not needed.
