Daikin supplies air conditioning for one of London’s most sought-after hotels

An extension to the 4-star Stafford Hotel in London St James’s Place, regarded by hotel connoisseurs as one of the capital’s most sought-after hideaways, is air conditioned using top-of-the-range Daikin VRV heat-recovery systems. The new accommodation provides 25 luxury suites, a penthouse and fitness centre. It is in a refurbished 6-storey building known at The Stafford Mews and overlooks the famous Carriage House rooms. Designed and specified by AWA Consulting Engineers and installed by Stewart Anthony Ltd, the air-conditioning system comprises eight VRV outdoor units linked to 64 fan-coil units indoors. The floor-mounted FCUs are housed in specially designed casings styled to blend with the decor in the suite and penthouse lounge areas. Other FCUs are located in bulkheads above room entry doors. The VRV systems are managed by a Daikin centralised touch controller in a basement office and web linked to the hotel’s main control system. Related articles:
