Compact linear valve actuator
Published:  December 2007
actuator

Linear valve actuators from CentraLine by Honeywell self-calibrate every 24 h.

CentraLine’s MT010-N linear thermo-electric valve actuator provides precise operating of water valves in heating and air-conditioning systems. It can be used with many types of 2-way and 3-way valves as well as thermostatic radiator valves (M30 x 1.5). It snaps easily onto the valve without a tool.

Applications include hydronic heating zones, individual radiators, underfloor heating circuits, fan coils and air-conditioning units.

These valves are 60 mm high, 64 mm deep and 44 mm wide. They can be supplied with a 1 or 3 m cable and respond to 0 to 10 V DC signals from devices such as room thermostats and programmers.

Just 2 W of power is used to heat a wax element, which expands to develop a force of up to 100 N and up to 3.5 mm of travel. Accuracy is ensured by a micro-processed positioner that self-calibrates every 24 h.
