Evinox integrates renewable energy in residential development in Romford
Published: December 2007
Condensing boilers and solar thermal panels are combined with Geminox Modusat satellite heating units to provided independent heating for the 98 apartments for the Mount Anvil development on Atlanta Boulevard in Romford. There are 110 m2 of solar panels and only 400 kW of boiler plant using four Geminox 10-100 condensing boilers. The solar collectors serve two 1750 l thermal stores, and the design of the Modusat unit enables solar thermal energy to be stored in each apartment, reducing the size of the thermal stores in the plant room. Evinox provided the complete heating solution of apartment units, solar panels, thermal stores, boiler-room package and remote monitoring and billing of energy and water consumption. Van Zyl De Villiers are the consulting engineer, with J. S. Wright carrying out the installation. For more information on this story, click here:Dec 2007, 137 Related articles: |
