TA shares its expertise in variable-volume design

To help increase the knowledge base of the design and commissioning of hydronic variable-flow systems, Tour & Andersson has devised a series of CPD presentations. John Coppin, associate director with consulting engineers Arup, explains, ‘A number of design engineers across the field of design and commissioning of systems are still in their infancy when it comes to variable-volume design and fully understanding the use of the traditional and new pipeline equipment for the commissioning of water systems. The TA Hydronic College set up by Tour & Andersson, recognises its role in addressing the need for a step up in training and the transfer of essential skills and productivity required of the industry. Seminars are being held at the Science Museum in London on 28 February and on 22 May in Dublin. They will cover the three hydronic conditions for accurate control. These seminars will be led by Jean Christophe Carette, head of the hydronic college and are designed to summarise Tour & Andersson’s expertise and provide educational training on all aspects of design flow, differential pressure and compatibility.
