Solar shading goes carbon neutral with Levolux
Published:  February 2008

Not only do Levolux products help reduce the carbon footprint of buildings, but the company has now taken steps to ensure that its entire operation is carbon neutral.

Solar-shading specialist Levolux is going totally carbon neutral by supporting a major rainforest plantation project in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley to offset its emissions of carbon dioxide.

Levolux is also promoting green working practices throughout the company and hopes that this stand to help avert climate change will inspire other companies in the industry.

The company’s products are designed to reduce the energy required to achieve a comfortable environment in buildings. They include electric roller blinds, aerofoil fins and ventilation louvres.

To play an even more active role in promoting green construction practices, Levolux has also recently joined the UK Green Building Council.
