Mechanical extract ventilators use less energy
Published:  June 2008

Energy-efficient ventilation for up to five rooms can be provided by the CVE ECO 2 range of MEV units from Itho Ventilation.

A range of mechanical extract ventilators from Itho Ventilation use low-consumption DC motors and is said to use considerably less energy than conventional MEV systems. They can be used to provide continuous extraction of contaminated damp air from all wet rooms.

These units can be concealed in a loft, store room or cupboard and come with a 3-speed RF remote control switch or as a 2-speed hard-wired version.

Extractor units can be installed on a wall, the ceiling and sloping surfaces.

One unit can serve a kitchen and up to four wet rooms and comply with System 3 of the Building Regulations Approved Document Part F 2006 for England and Wales and BRE Digest 398 for Scotland.

There are six versions of the CVE ECO 2.
