LG’s slimmest cassette offers advanced control of airflow
Published: July 2008
LG has introduced a range of air-conditioning cassettes which are claimed to be the slimmest on the market and be easily slotted into a ceiling void only 184 mm deep. These cassettes also give users precise control of the airflow angle and speed from each of the four vents — a feature which is claimed to be another first. The seven units in this range can be used with the LG Universal outdoor range and the VRF multi range. The vanes that control the direction of the air from these units are 76 to 80 mm wider than those on other air conditioners, eliminating dead zones and helping to maintain an even temperature throughout a room. The speed and volume of airflow can be adjusted according to ceiling height, so they can be used at heights of up to 3.6 m. A brushless DC inverter fan motor provides the control needed and reduces noise levels. Other features include whirlwind airflow, anti-corrosion Gold fin, high-head drain pump, grille that is easy to attach and remove, LCD wired/wireless remote controller and safety lock.
