Fluorescent tubes retain glass and phosphors if they are broken

GE Lighting’s T5 CovRguard range of linear fluorescent lamps include a 0.38 mm-thick Lexan plastic shield around the tube to contain glass fragments and phosphors if a lamp is broken. These lamps come in 24, 39 and 54 W, five colour temperatures and a CRI of 85. Average rated life is 30 000 h. |
