Heat-pump air conditioners achieve COPs of over five
Published:  July 2008

A new inverter-driven heat-pump air-conditioning system from Mitsubishi Electric achieves a COP of 5.25 in heating and 5.15 in cooling.

The MSZ-FD models of the M Series initially offer capacities of 2.5 and 3.5 kW, and more models will be added to the range later this year. Noise levels are 20 and 21 dB(A), respectively. They can be connected to an MXZ multi unit.

These models have an infra-red controller as standard, a maximum pipe length of 20 m and a pipe height of 12 m.

Other features include plasma duo air filtration and deodorising system, self-cleaning functions and the I-See sensor to aid temperature control and efficiency.
