Moducel adds its touch to Hotel du Vin in York
Published: July 2008
Moducel LKP air-handling units have been installed in the latest Hotel du Vin boutique hotel, close to the centre of York. This is the 11th hotel in the chain and occupies a Grade 2 listed building dating back to the early 19th century. This hotel has 44 stylish bedrooms and suites, the HdV trademark Bistro, bar, private dining rooms and a courtyard for alfresco. The building has been a private home, orphanage and the Shepherd Homes building. The two Moducel units provide general ventilation for the kitchen. They are custom-built LKP-7 units, one for extract and one for supply at 3 m3/s. A robust profile frame is a key feature of the design of LKP units, which also have double-skinned infill panels to minimise frictional losses and provide a positive air seal. The panels are of sheet steel with a high-quality infill material providing excellent thermal and acoustic properties.
