Rainwater harvesting contributes to excellent BREEAM rating
Published:  July 2008

Over 1000 m3 of rainwater is being harvested each year by a Stormsaver system in this new building at the University of Exeter.

A rainwater-harvesting installed by Stormsaver at the new Innovation Centre at the University of Exeter has help the project achieve the top BREEAM rating.

The Stormsaver system can harvest over 1000 m3 a year of rainwater from the 1500 m2 roof. The water is stored in a 25 m3 tank, where it is filtered and used for flushing toilets and urinals to reduce water bills by over £1400 a year.
