Vibration-control systems

The Kinetics range of vibration-control systems from CMS Vibration Solutions includes FDS free-standing spring mounts.

In response to the recent increase in high-rise construction and the challenge posed for vibration control, CMS Vibration Solutions has expanded its Kinetics range to include isolation systems for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and electrical services.

The comprehensive Kinetics ranges are designed to isolate structural noise, shock and vibration and can be used to isolate floor-mounted equipment such as pumps, fans, chillers and boilers and suspended equipment such as pipework and ductwork.

Model FDS free-standing spring mounts are recommended for low-speed mechanical equipment and consist of high-deflection, unhoused, large-diameter laterally stable steel springs. They are very effective at controlling high- and low-frequency vibration.

Model RD elastomeric vibration isolators are made as one-piece moulded Neoprene floor mounts. These floor-mounted systems can be used to isolate small close-coupled pumps, vent seals and low packaged air-handling units located on a grade-supported structural slab or pier.

The range of vibration isolation hangers includes RH hangers for use with suspended piping, ductwork and equipment. Suspended-ceiling systems can be supported using resilient glass-fibre isolators such as Model AF hangers.
