JS Air Curtains supplies bespoke designs for Associated Newspapers
Published: December 2008
JS Air Curtains has supplied bespoke air curtains for the offices of Associated Newspapers in Kensington. The company designed and installed four brushed stainless-steel air curtains of 2.5 m long each joined to create a pair of 5 m-wide air curtains to keep out cold air in winter and contain conditioned air in summer. These air curtains are installed above revolving doorways at the front and rear of the building. They have an attractive cylindrical design and are suspended from the ceiling with matching arm supports. Each pair of curtains provides an airflow of up to 13 000 m3/h and has 64 kW of electric heating. JS also supplied and installed a more standard Windbox air curtain above a single doorway at the Derry Street entrance. It has an output of 3700 m3/h with up to 22.5 kW of heating.
