Published: May 2009
Space Airconditioning has supplied the equipment for the extensive Daikin VRV air-conditioning systems at the Lacuna Place office and retail development in Hastings. The 3-pipe heat-recovery equipment consists of 15 systems in a modular arrangement of 22 outdoor units serving 150 slim ducted fan-coil units. All the equipment is controlled by Daikin’s I-Touch control system. Space Air/Daikin approved installer DMA of Gillingham carried out the installation work over two phases. Lacuna Place is the largest high-quality development of new offices in the town centre for over 25 years and comprises 2900 m2 of contemporary offices arranged over four floors, with a ground-floor reception areas. The scheme also has two retail units totalling 6000 m2 on the ground floor. Lacuna Place is part of a 10-year investment programme for the area by Costal Land (Sussex), a joint venture between economic development company Sea Space and property specialist Land Group. The building was designed by architects Proctor & Matthews to fit in with the historic streetscape. For more information on this story, click here: May 09, 123 Related articles: |
