Moeller wireless system brings buildings under control

Centralised control of all electrical equipment in a building can be provided by Moeller’s Xcomfort wireless system.

Moeller’s Xcomfort range of building automation products offers central control for all electrical equipment in commercial and residential applications to maximise energy savings, comfort, safety and security.

Xcomfort products use bi-directional mesh network wireless technology, so sensors and controls can be installed exactly where they are needed without the need for wiring. Relocating devices is also simple.

The bi-directional operation makes this system particularly reliable as the central controller can confirm to input devices that their signals have been received; if not, the signal is automatically repeated by the input device.

All key influences, including inside and outside temperatures, light levels and room occupancy, can be taken into account automatically to provide efficient control of heating and lighting.

The wall-mounted home-manager module provides access to all of an installation’s functions and shows their status on a large integrated display. Room-manager modules provide access and monitoring for all functions in up to three rooms.

Switching modules can be used for almost any type of load, including lights, heaters and pumps. There are also actuators for window blinds and dimming lights.

Input devices include wireless switches, temperature sensors, PIR motion sensors and binary input units than enable conventional wired switches to be connected to Xcomfort systems.
