Riegens lighting proves its effectiveness

Cost-effective and energy-efficient lighting from Riegens Lighting has contributed to a ‘Very good’ BREEAM rating for the new office development of Subsea 7 in Westhill near Aberdeen. Over 2500 luminaires have been installed in the 17 300 m2 building, with daylight linking in cellular and open-plan offices. Kevin Donkin, senior design engineer with KJ Tait Engineers, says, ‘The Riegens luminaires provided the technical performance we were looking for and matched the aesthetic desires of the client and architect, whilst providing an extremely cost-effective and environmentally effective solution. We were also very impressed that there were no failures on any of the 2500 light fittings following installation; this in itself is a noteworthy achievement.’ Most of the luminaires were from Riegens Arbos and Concido ranges.
