Pumps reach new heights
Published:  March 2010
Grundfos Pumps

Helping to meet the requirements for delivering clean water to and removing dirty water from the world’s tallest building is a multitude of Grundfos pumps. The $1.5 billion Burj Khalifa in Dubai is 828 m high and includes a 160-room hotel, a range of businesses and retail outlets, and over a thousand luxury apartments.

Water services are provided by 82 Grundfos SENV submersible pumps made entirely from stainless steel and 27 AP submersible drainage and effluent pumps. These pumps were supplied with 68 explosion-proof control panels.

Hot and cold water is delivered by 42 CRN stainless-steel multi-stage centrifugal pumps and three Hydro MPC booster sets.
