Xpelair Ventilation Solutions has designed a mixed-mode ventilation system for the Building Schools for the Future programme. The Classmate solution automatically reacts to CO2 levels, room occupancy and temperature to maintain optimum indoor air quality. Summer cooling ventilation is provided by low-energy EC fans and heating by LTHW coils and controls.

Control panels enable users to select appropriate ventilation options for each classroom, which can reduce a schoolís energy costs by up to 40% compared with other systems.

Designed for installation into external and internal walls or cladding, Classmate exceeds the requirements of Building Bulletins 93 and 101. Up to six units can be managed from one controller to allow timed function, night cooling, temperature differential sensing and manual over-ride.

Acoustic modules are included as standard to reduce noise and light transmission. All units have telescopic sleeves to suit various wall thicknesses.
