Solar thermal energy from Vaillant plays role in Nottingham University Solar Decathlon HOUSE
Published: August 2010
A Vaillant auroTherm flat-plate solar thermal system has been installed as part of the University of Nottingham’s HOUSE (Home Optimising the Use of Solar Energy) project. It is Britain’s entry in an international competition to build Europe’s most energy-efficient, zero-carbon, solar-powered home. The project combines solar energy, energy efficiency and home design. The Nottingham HOUSE is in Madrid and competing against projects from 17 universities from all over the world in the Solar Decathlon Europe, which aims to advance knowledge on industrialised and sustainable homes. The House will be coming back to the University of Nottingham when the Solar Decathlon has been completed. For more information on this story, click here: August 2010, 130 Related articles: |
