Solar PV comes home for housebuilder and developer
Published:  September 2010
Larkfleet Group, Solar PV

Housebuilder and developer Larkfleet Group has shown its commitment to sustainable energy with the installation of solar PV panels to provide electricity for its head office in Bourne, Lincolnshire. There are 42 panels that can produce up to 20 kW of electricity. Called Southfield House, the new building is next to the company’s headquarters and was chosen for its large south-facing roof.

Larkfleet will also benefit from the Feed-in Tariff.

Lark Energy, the newest company in the Larkfleet Group, oversaw the planning of the project and installation of the panels, working closely with local group partners Deepings Trading, which supplied the components, and Cawood Electrical, accredited PV installer.

Karl Hick, managing director of Larkfleet Group, said, ‘This installation demonstrates Larkfield Group’s commitment to sustainability, not only within our building developments but also within our business practices. This is the first of many Lark Energy projects that will include photo-voltaic panels in both commercial and residential environments.
