A free seminar on improving the efficiency of commercial HVCA systems is being organised by ebm-papst at its purpose-built client centre in Chelmsford. The half-day seminar on 7 June will be particularly beneficial to energy managers, facilities managers, architects, sustainability consultants and others involved in reducing the carbon emissions of commercial buildings.

It will include information on current and planned legislation such as the ErP Directive and the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme. There will also be an overview of EC fan technology and case studies on reducing energy consumption in HVAC systems. Speakers include HVCA president Geoff Lockwood and the managing director of Ability Projects Greg Jolliff on recent advances in the design of fan-coil units and their significant energy-saving benefits.
