From transformer to power distribution — Legrand’s power-distribution division supplied a range of solutions for this BAE facility in Washington as a single contract.

Legrand has demonstrated the scope of its power-distribution division by supplying Electrak and Zucchini solutions for a new BAE production facility in Washington, Tyne & Wear. Specified by NG Bailey, Legrand supplied Electrak buscom and Zucchini MR busbar systems. In addition, its Zucchini EdM medium-voltage cast-resin transformer was specified by utilities contractor PN Daly.

Paul Hoy, a project engineer with NG Bailey, says, ‘In the past, we have dealt with Zucchini and Electrak separately. Having them under one roof and being able to deal with just one contract for all power-distribution solutions is a big help in terms of specification, product delivery and installation.’

Alan Clark, a sales engineer for Legrand’s power-division, comments, ‘Since the formation of the division I’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of positive feedback I’ve received from those within the industry who are delighted that they can now have access to Electrak, Zucchini and Legrand power-distribution products through one company and one contact.’
