Gas-fired absorption heat pump

Buderus GWPL 38 gas-fired absorption heat pumps have an output of 38 kW, with up to 65% of the heat output extracted from the surrounding air. They have the benefit of gas being about a third the cost of electricity. As a renewable technology with NOx emissions qualifying for BREEAM 5, these heat pumps help achieve targets for renewable technologies required for planning permission without high installation or operating costs. These units are designed for installing outdoors and are said to be as easy to integrate into a heating system as a condensing boiler. They can be supplied as prefabricated cascades of up to five units and integrated with other heat sources such a solar thermal and boilers.
