Stokvis launches new steel shell boilers

Published:  05 January, 2012

Stokvis, boiler

The latest range of Economatic steel shell boilers from Stokvis Energy Systems comprises 3-pass reverse-flame boilers for use with gas and oil. They have capacities from 93 to 3488 kW in standard units. The precision-engineered shell design gives a very high thermal efficiency of 91%. The design ensures low emissions of CO and NOx.

Features include a front tube plate flanged towards the combustion chamber to prevent hot spots, reduce thermal stress and extend life expectancy.

Thermal losses through conduction are minimised by high levels of insulation, externally and internally, on the boiler door, which opens two ways and has multi-way adjustable hinges for easy access. Internal water baffling directs cold water away from areas most susceptible to condensation. To reduce the time when condensation is formed, pumps are prevented from operating when the boiler is cold.
