Marshall-Tuffex’s MT32 prefabricated power-distribution system enabled significant time savings to be made for the refurbishment of this government building in Dublin.

Some 200 h of labour time for the refurbishment of the Department of Transport, Tourism & Sport building in Dublin, was achieved using Marshall-Tufflex’s prefabricated MT32 prewired underfloor power-delivery system — according to Donal Hackett of building-services contractor Mercury Engineering.

Frank Reilly from the Office of Public Works, says, ‘Mercury Engineering put forward Marshall-Tufflex’s MT32 system, and we evaluated it alongside the alternatives. We liked the fact that MT32 gave us greater flexibility for future-proofing, plus there were significant cost savings to be made.’

MT32 is a modular pre-wired and pre-tested 32 A power connection system that clicks together. According to Marshall-Tufflex, it enables power to be delivered to up to three times more floor area than traditional powertrack options.

Mercury Engineering also installed Marshall-Tufflex Cat 6 compliant PowerPoles to carry power and data from ceiling level to desks in the Department of Transport offices.
