Sizing DHW systems
Heatrae Sadia’s SpecPro water-heating sizing software for commercial and domestic applications is described as being easy to use, enabling straightforward and accurate product specification. It is available as a CD or as a download from the company’s web site.
It includes sizing tools for point-of-use water heaters, unvented cylinders, solar cylinders, boiling-water products, chilled drinking equipment and hand dryers. The system also features product specification information, images, CAD drawings and case studies.
Users are guided through the sizing process, which involves entering details of the type of building, number of rooms, showers, baths and washing and catering facilities to be supplied. All types of heat source are included — such as direct electric, indirect via a boiler and solar thermal.
The software calculates the hot-water requirement and recommends the most appropriate Heatrae Sadia solution.
A section for selecting accessory kits is included as part of the software.
