SAV brings CHP to smaller buildings

SAV Systems, CHP, Energy Efficiency

SAV Systems has brought the benefits of CHP to smaller buildings with the introduction of two Mini LoadTracker models to its modular range of modulating CHP units. They are the XRGI 6 (6 kW of electricity and 13.5 kW of heat) and the XRGI 9 (9 kW of electricity and 20 kW of heat). Applications include smaller care homes, residential blocks, fire stations, schools, health centres and larger private residences.

SAV’s LoadTracker range offers up to 100 kW of electricity and 200 kW of heat.

They are powered by a Toyota gas engine that combines high reliability with low maintenance requirements. All units come with a thermal storage vessel that stores surplus heat at 80 to 85°C.

LoadTracker units can track site demand and modulate their output down to 40% of full output, providing a versatile solution for applications with variable load. They are designed to match site electrical load, ensuring that the electricity generated never exceeds demand. A patented heat distributor maintains a constant flow temperature, so that high-grade heat is delivered without topping up from boilers.
