Hackney moves to HIUs with Remeha boilers

Remeha, HIU, district heating, space heating

Communal heating in eight residential blocks owned and maintained by Hackney Council is now provided by heat interface units served by Remeha boilers, with supporting Remeha buffer vessels and pressurisation equipment. David Manuell, technical manager with building-services consultancy Promode, specified three Remeha boilers in each plant room in sizes from 120 to 500 kW according to the requirement of each building.

A key consideration was the restricted size of the plantrooms, which therefore required a space-saving solution with flexible configuration options.

The Gas 210 Eco Pro boilers, for example, are compact and can be installed back-to-back.

Gas 310 8-section boilers with an output of 500 kW are delivered on wheels for greater manoeuvrability. They can be installed side-by-side in modular configuration.
