Rinnai water heaters are renewables ready

Rinnai, DHW, domestic hot water, continuous flow hot water

Rinnai’s Infinity HDC 1600e continuous-flow condensing water heaters use natural gas or LPG. They are renewables ready and suitable for use as a temperature booster for solar thermal and heat-pump installations. These water heaters are described as ‘future-proofed against future regulatory and legislative changes.

There are versions for installing indoors and outdoors, and these water heaters have a turndown ratio of 14:1 from 58to 4 kW. Maximum flow rate is 37 l/min. These units are also very quiet in operation.

Integral controls can be standalone or integrated into a building-management system. Legionella proliferation is also significantly reduced.

‘Smart’ controls for secondary-return DHW systems run water at a safe 42°C core temperature during the day and boost it to 60°C when the building is closed. By the time the building reopens, the core temperature should have fallen to 42°C.

Efficiencies are up to 107% net with NOx emissions of less than 20 ppm.
