Biddle technology chosen for new medical centre in Leeds
The low-noise and high-performance characteristics of Biddle’s Powerbreez fan-coil units are being exploited in the new Institute of Molecular Medicine, Epidemiology & Cancer Research in Leeds.
High-performance fan-coil units and air curtains have been supplied by Biddle Air Systems for the new Institute of Molecular Medicine, Epidemiology & Cancer Research at St James’ Hospital in Leeds. Laboratories, offices and communal facilities will be spread over six floors, and the new building will be linked by bridges to the clinical-sciences building and the Cancer Research UK Leeds Clinical Centre. The Powerbreez fan-coil units have a patented air-inlet device which has been proved by independent tests to significantly reduce noise, and their purpose-designed non-handed counter-flow coil increases duty by up to 20%. The Invisidor air curtains have been chosen from the CA range, which is better able to cope with the more demanding conditions at this new Cancer Centre. These air curtains feature Biddle’s patented rectifier and constant-velocity technology to maximise comfort and minimise energy wastage.
