Plug fans with EC technology

EC technology incorporated into plug fans from ebm-papst give the flexibility of connecting to AC mains with the efficiency and simple speed control of a DC motor.
EBM-papst has added EC technology to a range of backward-curved centrifugal fans, commonly known as plug fans and extensively used by manufacturers of air-handling units. These fans have small impellers and can deliver up to 2.5 m3/s of air at up to 1 kPa. EC plug fans have a single inlet and direct drive with a 2-dimensional centrifugal impeller mounted onto an electronically commutated external-rotor motor with integrated electronics. The complete unit is statically and dynamically balanced in two planes and is available with impeller diameters from 250 to 450 mm.
