Jim Byrne, project engineer with contractor Concord Boiler Engineering, explains, ‘This was certainly not a straightforward boiler replacement. Following a survey of the boiler room, we realised that Fulton’s standard Series J boiler was not only too big to go through the doors, but it would also not fit next to the existing backup boiler. Thankfully, Fulton agreed to build a bespoke version for the project, which is shorter and fits perfectly.’
Concord has been using Fulton steam boilers and ancillary equipment in Ireland for over 10 years.
