Simmtronic introduces DALI hard-wired hub

Simmtronic, which makes fully addressable digital lighting controls for corporate developments, has developed a new hard-wired hub for its proprietary SPECS3 systems driving DALI technology. Ideal for mounting in risers, this hub enhances the SPECS3 lighting-control system to provide DALI control to hard-wired installations such as stairwells, cloakrooms, lobbies and entrances. Designed for use specifically with DALI ballasts and, in the case of emergency luminaires, all control is achieved digitally. As there is no switching of power circuits, the hard-wired lighting circuits can be wired directly from the circuit breaker in the distribution board. This hub provides two DALI drivers to reduce delays and minimise the chance of losing control if a bus fault occurs. Each driver can control half the loading of 40 DALI ballasts or transformers and 20 emergency inverters. Built-in E-bus drivers can accommodate 24 function devices such as presence detectors and switches. Simmtronic has completed over 600 commercial projects with fully addressable lighting-control systems. and has supplied many of the largest DALI projects.
