Clyde takes centre boiler house at Shakespeare’s old school

The line ‘’Tis lack of kindly warmth’ from Shakespeare’s ‘The life of Timon of Athens’ is no longer appropriate at King Edward VI School in Stratford-upon-Avon, where William Shakespeare is believed to have been a pupil. The reason is that four Clyde sectional boilers have replaced outdated boilers to deliver heating with a seasonal efficiency of over 84%. These 8-section boilers have 3-pass heat exchangers and serve the open-vented heating system with a combined output of about 1000 kW. They have 2-stage gas-fired burners and use conventional flues. Clyde’s BMS interface has been incorporated into the project and is linked directly to the council’s property-services department to enable remote monitoring of the system. These boilers were installed by Inderflame of Droitwich. |
