The year also saw Daikin Europe taking over responsibility for South Africa from parent company Daikin Industries and new sales offices being set up in Ireland and the Middle East.
The current financial year will see an increased focus on the important Turkish market, with a local Daikin sales office in Istanbul and a newly appointed distributor. Daikin has also recently acquired its distributor in the Netherlands.
On the product front, Daikin will continue to develop its presence in the home-heating market with its Altherma heat-pump systems.
