The two auroTHERM panels are on a south-facing roof and linked to a Vaillant condensing boiler, 250 litre Vaillant cylinder and Vaillant controls, which monitor the temperatures of cylinder and collectors by providing differential solar control.
Oliver Duckworth of installer Solar Thermal says, ‘We are particularly pleased to see that even first-time buyers have caught the environmental bug. It’s still pretty unusual for people on the first rung of the property ladder to consider renewables, but its definitely a great step on the right direction.
The auroTHERM flat-plate collector has ultrasonically welded copper absorbers, 60 mm of insulation on the rear and sides and a solar-glass transmission of 91% — and is described as a competitively priced option for projects when weight and size is of less of importance.
