50 EU units based on the Econet concept were installed in 2004, and Flakt Woods has since been asked to supply an additional 78 units.
Craig MacFadyen, the company’s UK business development manager, says, ‘Increasing energy prices make energy efficiency more and more important. Econet is an excellent solution for hospitals and other service buildings that are open 24/7. Energy efficiency is an important factor in order to gain as low life-cycle costs as possible. The combination of Flakt Woods EU air-handling units and Econet achieves the optimum investment for the Turku University Hospital.’
